Curriculum for English 2

 

  1. Basic of curriculum

To develop of student’s knowledge of English that help their everyday activity. To help them to get worldwide information about culture, tradition, technique, and science of England, USA and other. To have an ability to speak fluently, listen translate onto both English and Mongolian texts on economy.

  1. Objective

-          Regarding students knowledge – to expand students knowledge of grammar and learn some new vocabularies on.

-          To obtain the ability to read, speak, listen and write.

-          Regarding student’s attitude – along with obtaining elementary level for English student’s can communicate foreigners by using English fluently when they are in foreign countries.

-          Foreigners by using English fluently when they are in foreign countires.

 

Purpose – to have flowing four skills

 

Speaking – give a talk on certain topics /For example: Vacation postcards, City scenes, Hip-Hop fashions, Taking the risk, Famous cities, Grandma knows best!, To tip or not to tip, Things you can do to help the environment, Ways to keep phone calls short, The future looks bright./

-          topics, express the own opinions take a part in discussion

-          on variety of topics use all grammar knowledge in real – life

-          situations describe, items, people and places and compare them.

 

Reading – read a fairy tale, dialogue, words of wisdom, magazine article, story, advertisement, and then talk about it, read simple, medium and large texts using dictionary, read newspaper, journal and understand general meaning, read texts quickly and find out general meaning.

 

Writing – writing a postcard; a description of a home, a description of someone, of an unusual activity, of an interesting city, writing about a home remedy, a restaurant review, an interesting or beautiful place, a request to give a message, future plans.

 

- a postcard, an advertisement for a restaurant

- write article and a biography, of 70 – 100 words on various ranger of topic

- write an essay of 100 -150 words and expressing opinions and views

- write down analyses of listened materials

- translate original texts into Mongolian using dictionary

 

Listening – listen statements, cross out the words, u don’t hear, pronunciation, ambitions, making appointments, giving advice, working with the sick to teachers and classmates speech and understand it. Listen to cassettes and find out for main meaning, listen to cassette and give a talk on listened materials.

Students who has some knowledge of some parts of the subject is able to do very simple work on their own, is required more additional work

Students who have knowledge is not satisfied, has to the subject a new
